Conference Ambassador Programme
Dublin is one of the centres of European commerce and a prime location for both national and international conferences. We have a great selection of conference venues across the country, including one of the most flexible and uniquely historical Dublin events venues – DCU campus. The Conference Ambassador Programme aims to offer support to those who want to bring major conferences and events to Ireland. DCU are proud to support individuals, businesses and organisations every step of the way to ensure your bid is successful and your conference is as flawless as you envisioned.
What does the Conference Ambassador Programme offer?
The programme was developed to support individuals who are experts in their field and would like to host an international conference in Ireland. The aim is to encourage more global conferences and events to take place here boosting our relationships, our reputation and our economy. It was originally designed by Meet in Ireland, through which half of all confirmed conferences in Ireland each year are secured. Meet in Ireland has teamed with top thinkers, innovators and researchers at home and overseas to deliver successful conferences and provide unique experiences for delegates. The programme provides intellectual and financial assistance at every stage of the event, from the concept & initial bid to execution and throughout the event.
Who are Conference Ambassadors?
Conference Ambassadors are industry leaders or influencers in their field and represent Ireland to international organisations. They are passionate about Ireland and the benefits of holding a large-scale conference or event here. Since its establishment in 2009, the Conference Ambassador Programme has motivated over 1,000 experts to bid for and host international conferences. Conference topics range from academia and medical science to tech companies and special interest groups.
The conference itself and its organisation give you many opportunities to network with relevant professionals and peers from your industry, strengthening your personal and professional network. It’s also a chance to showcase the successes of your field and company, to demonstrate the famous Irish welcome and the amazing amenities the country offers, encouraging further positive word of mouth and returning events. It’s also a chance to create a unique and fun gathering for colleagues and peers, establishing yourself as an influencer in your own right.
