What Is The Conference Ambassador Programme?

The conference ambassador programme was originally designed by Meet In Ireland to bring more global conferences and events to Ireland. Currently, around half of Irish conferences are secured by the programme. It aligns DCU academic ambassadors with international associations.

The programme assists with aspect of your conference from your initial bid to organising the event. The DCU conferencing team will connect you with professionals relevant to your industry and event while working to make your event unique to you. We will assist in every aspect of the planning of your international conference or event.

Who Can Be A DCU Conference Ambassador?

Since the founding of the programme in 2009, DCU has worked with over 50 conference ambassadors to bring meetings and events to Ireland and host them at Dublin City University. A conference ambassador is an expert in their field of study or competence.

Conferences have taken place in DCU from 50 – 2500 delegates in many different areas of study including tech, sports, pharma, medical science and different areas of academia.

Meet in Ireland has teamed with top thinkers, innovators and researchers at home and overseas to deliver successful conferences and provide unique experiences for delegates. The programme provides intellectual and financial assistance at every stage of the event, from the concept & initial bid to execution and throughout the event.

Who are Conference Ambassadors?

Conference Ambassadors are industry leaders or influencers in their field and represent Ireland to international organisations. They are passionate about Ireland and the benefits of holding a large-scale conference or event here. Since its establishment in 2009, the Conference Ambassador Programme has motivated over 1,000 experts to bid for and host international conferences. Conference topics range from academia and medical science to tech companies and special interest groups.

DCU Campus is one of the most flexible and unique events venues in Dublin and our experienced team work hard alongside Meet in Ireland to support Conference Ambassadors to deliver memorable Dublin events. Since 2009, DCU has successfully worked with over 50 conference ambassadors to bring unique and bespoke meetings and events to Ireland and host them at Dublin City University. Conferences have taken place in DCU from 50 to 2500 delegates in many different areas of study including tech, sports, pharma, medical science and different areas of academia.
