We are delighted to welcome back full capacity events and conferences to Dublin and DCU are ready and waiting to help you host your next event safely. DCU is a perfect venue for all types of events, from concerts & large-scale information sessions to interviews & board meetings. We can accommodate anything from 5 to 1200 attendees and all events are overseen by a designated event manager who will assist you on your conference journey from initial concept to successful completion. Here are some of the reasons why hosting your next conference in our Dublin conference venue is a great idea.

Flexibility

DCU is spread over three campus locations in Dublin, All Hallows, St Patricks and our main campus in Glasnevin. Each has something unique and useful to offer to events, regardless of subject matter. Our spaces vary from intimate meeting spaces to huge conference events for up to 1200 attendees. Our conference and lecture rooms can be used by anyone looking to spread knowledge and exchange ideas.
Our meeting and event space can be customised to your unique conference needs including classroom-style space – for lectures and learning, boardroom style – for important meetings with your team or board members or tiered or theatre style meeting spaces for larger events that require desk space.

Facilities on Campus

Aside from our excellent conference facilities, we have a wealth of facilities on campus that are available for use by conference organisers and attendees. We have secure on-site parking on our Glasnevin campus which opens 24-hours. We offer complimentary, high-speed Wi-Fi across all our locations and throughout the meeting rooms, free for organisers and attendees. We offer a variety of catering and dining options from light refreshments and casual dining to banquet or buffet-style meals – with something to suit all budgets and tastes. All three of our locations are fully accessible for all meaning guests of all shapes, sizes and abilities will feel comfortable. As we are an Academic Institution, Holding your event here lends a certain weight to your meeting.

Location

DCU is approximately 10-minutes by road from the city centre, making us easily accessible by roa or public transport. Being close to the city means guests have easy access to restaurants, shops, tourist attractions and much more. Our on-site parking means people can arrive by car and not worry about finding on-street parking nearby. We are well connected by public transport with numerous buses travelling both North and South stopping directly outside the campus gates. We are a short drive to and from Dublin Airport meaning speakers, organisers and attendees can travel from overseas without a long commute.

On-Site Accommodation

Did you know that DCU offers accommodation that’s not just for students? DCU Rooms offers a variety of modern, ensuite accommodation right here on campus meaning your organisers, speakers and those attendees travelling from afar don’t have to search for accommodation elsewhere. We have dining options on campus, a convenience store and pharmacy, fitness and leisure centre facilities and a bar all contained within our Glasnevin campus. It also makes networking after the event easy.

Conference Ambassador Programme

The Conference Ambassador Programme takes the stress out of event planning in Dublin. We assist with all aspects of your conference from your initial idea to the more pragmatic planning of the event. The DCU conferencing team will connect you with professionals relevant to your industry and event while working to make your event unique to you. Currently, around half of Irish conferences are secured by the conference Ambassador Programme. It aligns DCU academic ambassadors with international associations. Get in touch with our conference and events manager Lisa to learn more about this unique opportunity.

Another unique aspect of booking your conference in DCU is the ability to view the facilities without having to visit in person. We have a gallery of images showing potential bookers exactly what we have to offer without an unnecessary journey. We also offer 3d Tours for a more realistic view of the space. Lisa, our talented conference and events manager is available to talk to you about your unique needs and how DCU can add something unique to your next event.
