Why Meet in DCU

Are you holding a conference or Dublin event this year and searching for your ideal conference venue? Dublin has an abundance of hotels and events venues with conference facilities so how do you make an informed decision about the perfect place to hold your meeting or conference? Research is key to choosing a bespoke space that’s ideal for your business needs. We’ve put together an easy guide to why meeting in one of DCUs many conference spaces is perfect for you.

Location

DCU campus is located on the edge of Dublin City Centre, easily reachable by multiple public transport links. More central conference venues charge huge amounts for the convenience of their location, but attendees need to consider city-centre traffic and parking issues. Here in DCU, we offer an abundance of parking options across our three campus locations, so your delegates won’t need to worry. If you have speakers, guests or attendees travelling from overseas, we just are ten minutes from Dublin Airport. We provide conference and event space across our 3 campuses in Glasnevin, All Hallows and St Patrick’s. Our historic locations make a picturesque and beautiful backdrop for your meeting.

Conference Facilities

We offer flexible conference and meeting options which can be customised to suit your unique needs. Our venues and varying meeting spaces can cater for small meetings of 5 people or less, all the way to 1200 attendees in the same space. We offer a variety of meeting spaces and seating styles; boardrooms, classrooms, theatre style and tiered seating. All of the equipment in each of our meeting spaces is state of the art and our high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout all campus facilities.

Campus Facilities

Not only do we have a huge variety of conference options, we also have a great selection of on-campus facilities. As well as a choice of locations, depending on the size and needs of your event, we also have on-site catering available. We have multiple catering options from breakfast to banquets and casual snacking to fine dining. Our picturesque surroundings mean you can enjoy an alfresco lunch, or a casual debrief in the park after a long day of meetings. During the summer months, DCU Rooms can also accommodate delegates in alternative and great value accommodation. DCU campus and conferencing facilities are committed to becoming single-use plastic free by 2021 and have taken huge steps toward our goal already. On campus we also have a gym, a bar and an abundance of green space for you to enjoy at your leisure.

Committed Team

One of DCUs biggest assets is our staff. We have a team of committed events staff dedicated to guiding and assisting you through the process. We are always on hand from the initial enquiry, throughout your event and providing aftercare to ensure that your event runs smoothly. We are always on-hand to absorb any worries or stresses you may experience. Our team is always closeby to help, whether that’s going above and beyond for a meeting request or making sure the room is set up to your exact specifications.

Virtual Tours

If you’d like to visit DCU but cannot commit to a long journey to take a look around, you are in luck. You can experience everything that DCU conference venues have to offer without leaving the office. Navigate to our gallery page to experience a virtual tour of each of our venues and browse pictures of our conference rooms and decide which location and events venue is suitable for you. Our knowledgeable staff are also happy to recommend a space that best suits your needs.
